Liquid Temperature Control

Compare LIQUID TEMPERATURE CONTROL systems. Liquid temperature control systems provide hot water or hot oil at precisely controlled temperatures. These systems are used where sections of tools or machines, like molds for plastic fabrication, need to be heated to a specific temperature. Liquid temperature control systems using water can cool to 30 F (0 C) or heat to 250 F (120 C). Systems using oil can heat up to 500 F (260 C). These systems were originally used in plastic fabrication, but are now used for any process that requires precise heating from an external source, such as die casting, chemical processing, and printing

The temperature of the fluid, water or oil, used in liquid temperature control systems is controlled by a microprocessor. The microprocessor adjusts the heating and chiller valves which mix cold fluid with hot fluid to attain the required temperature. This is a closed loop system which minimizes the loss of water or oil from the system. The closed loop also helps keep the liquid temperature control system at a consistent temperature and reduce the energy required to maintain the temperature

The selection of a liquid temperature control system requires knowing the desired temperature, in either Fahrenheit (F) or Celsius ( C), and flow rate, in gallons per minute (GPM). These are the main considerations when choosing a liquid temperature control system. Then the output of the heater, in kilowatts (kW), needs to be selected. Knowing the heat loss of the application will help in determining the proper model for your application
