Compare L SEALERS. L sealers or shrink wrap sealers are the backbone of the shrink wrapping needs. L sealers are the best tool for industry and retail, for simple and quick L seal shrink wrapping of medium to small packages.
The product to be sealed is placed placed between shrink wrap sheets and the sealing arm is brought down by hand. The sealed item is then placed in a hot oven or tunnel for the shrink wrap plastic to shrink. This L seal is created by an L shaped hot wire or hot knife eadge which fuses the sheets and at the same time causes a separation of the sheetes allowing the next item to be placed between the sheets.
Hot Wire:
The hot wire is heated in the L sealer start-up cycle and remains hot and ready for use until the L sealer is shutdown. With this method, maintenance strategy should include wire life cycle planning.
Hot Knife:
This method is similar to the Hot Wire in that it remains hot while the L sealer is in use The knife is a sharp, solid metal edge which is electrically heated.l. This method eliminates Hot Wire life cycle replacement maintenance.
Impulse Wire:
The impulse wire is heated only when a seal and cut operation is in progress. After the cut, the heating energy is removed from the wire. This provides a significant safety feature as well as energy savings. It seems to be used primarily in combination systems.
Combination L Sealer
Compare the COMBINATION L SEALERS which combine the L sealer with a heat tunnel. This may be the answer for small volume, inconsistent wrapping.
The L sealer is manually operated and each package then moves on a belt through the heat tunnel for to shrink the plastic film.
