Ultrasonic Benchtop Cleaners
Compare ULTRASONIC BENCHTOP CLEANERS for ultrasonic parts cleaning that come in benchtop capacity from 1/2 gallon to over 20 gallons. The shape of benchtop cleaners ranges from square to long and narrow, and from shallow to deep. To simplify the search for the correct model, the search parameters include capacity and height of the vessel. The shape of the cleaner and the location of the ultrasonic transducers is important to obtain the most effective cleaning action of the parts to be cleaned. All units listed come with stainless steel chambers. All are equipped with a drain valve and cover as standard. Heaters and timers are standard on some models and can be ordered as options on most models
The frequencies range from 20 khz to over 170 khz, ( 1 khz [kilohertz] = 1000 cycles). The most common frequencies are 25 khz, 40 khz and 80 khz. The low frequency provides rough cleaning action and should only be used for tough, heavy parts. Frequencies below 25 khz may cause audible problems. The higher the frequency, the gentler the cleaning action. When an object is exposed to a single frequency, it can start to vibrate at that frequency or a multiple (harmonic) therof. Manufacturers will vary the frequency around the stated frequency +/- 1 or 2 khz. This is called sweeping and keeps the part being cleaned from vibrating
