Compare INDUSTRIAL DOWNDRAFT TABLES and BOOTHS. Industrial downdraft tables come in many sizes. All iindustrial downdraft booths and tables are equipped with blowers to draw the air down through the table surface. The air then flows through filters to trap particles down to one micron size. In addition to preventing particles from getting into the surrounding atmosphere, the tables are used to draw fumes away from operators. Some come with side walls, in booth format to keep fumes and sparks from surrounding areas.
Some industrial downdraft tables use cartridge filters or tube filters, other models use water as the trapping medium. The water is required for work with certain metals, such as aluminum for NFPA (National Fire Protection Assoc) fire protection requirements.
Many of the industrial downdraft booths come with back and side panels (mostly removable). This is primarily for welding and metal grinding applications. Table tops may be wood, or wood composites, perforated metal, metal grating or fiberglass. Most manufacturers have rubber or plastic matting for the metal surfaces as an option.
Downdraft tables come in rectangular or square shapes.
